The marriage register states that she is 20 years when she was married in 1869, i have downloaded an image of the original fro the scotlnads people website. |

Hi Paul are you sure about the year of birth of Catherine. Birth in 1848 on Family Search Birth not on parish records on Scotlands People Betty |

Paul I found the marriage on the IGI & it lists children for the above couple, but they are all submitted entries which means they have not been taken directly from parish records so could be wrong. Your best bet would be to invest £6 on scotlands people & view their marriage certificate & the childrens birth certificates online. Georgina. |

Am trying to find some ancestors who i thought were Scottish. Charles Stirling m. Elizabeth Grant, and hada daughter called Catherine inabout 1851. The daughter went onto marry in Scotland in 1869, but i can't find any trace of her birth or her parents marriage or births. Can anyon help please? |
