Help please! Have had some info from my first computer and it is a word programme called Ami-Pro with prefix .sam I can open it on my standby computer with Lotus Word Pro but cannot open it my main computer with Microsoft Works Word Processor. It has Genaology Notes and I would appreciate a 'boffin' out there for help. Thanking someone in anticipation.

Hi You should be able to open the program using 'notepad' then copy the information from that and paste into word. Hope this helps Shell Me again Do you still have Amipro? If so open the file and save it as 'Rich Text Format'. Word should then be able to read the file. Alternatively see if there is anything on the web that converts Amipro to Word. I am sure there is.

Lotus Word Pro was the follow on from Ami Pro (used them both) so save from Word Pro into something word can read (Word 95/97/2000 format etc) or RTF or plain text. Bob
