Thanks Lorraine, Much appreciate your help. I am actually looking for his relations. I was sorting through some medals I have and only just realised that I have a WW1 medal for him that has been in my family stuff for years. I only just realised that his name was on the edge of the medal and I cannot, as yet, discover a Gordon connection - Macgregors and Mackenzies I can find - but how did I get a Gordon medal? Inverness may be the keyword as my Macgregors are from Inverness. The other thought is that I may have picked the medal up here in Canada at an auction sale some time and the connection is here. If it is not a connection to our family then I would like to return it to someone with a true connection.
