I wanted to put this on the 'Trying to Find' board but as the name isn't actually in my tree, it doesn't look as if I can. During WW2 my dad was billeted in Holland and we had lots of pictures which I'm afraid have been destroyed. I remember we had some dutch clogs he brought back with 'Breda' painted on them. The name I have, which I have spelt phonetically is :- Else Van Gorrberg and the address was: Teterinstrasse 40, Breda. It's just sheer curiosity to see if they are still there, thanks Jennifer

I'm not in Breda, but I am in Holland. I've had a look in the phone book (www.detelefoongids.nl) and there are 35 listings for Goorbergh in Breda. None of them are on Teteringenstraat though, which as far as I can see is the closest street name to Teterinstrasse ('strasse' is German by the way; the Dutch word for street is 'straat'). I've also quickly looked on Google to see if I could find anything. I have found a tree with an Elisabeth Wilhelmina van Goorbergh born in 1913 in Rotterdam, but she married Jacobus Clerx in 1938 in Breda. Sarah
