Buckhaven - Hertfordshire ??? VILLAGE ??? 1830's

I have relatives whose birth was shown as Buckhaven, Hertfordshire. Although I was born in Hertfordshire and know the county I am unable to locate where this village may have been in around 1830. As I live in New Zealand I am no longer able to visit and try a local trace. Anybody able to help please? Roger |

the only town/village i can come up with of that name is in Scotland where have you found the reference please * I have just put Buckhaven into the 1891 , and on one occasion, it was BERKHAMSTED mistrancribed |

Have just had a PM Buckland,more usually Buckland common, is between Chesham/Tring and Cholesbury updated, sorry not the Buckland i am thinking of if is Royston Dist.Its the other side of the county Name: Reuben Walker Age: 16 Estimated birth year: abt 1835 Relation: Son Father's name: William Gender: Male Where born: Buckland, Hertfordshire, England Civil parish: Buckland County/Island: Hertfordshire Country: England Registration district: Royston Sub-registration district: Buntingford |

Hi, I live next to the town Buckhaven, Fife Scotland, if thats any help. I know the area well but its the only Buckhaven I know of. |

There is no Buckhaven in Herts, but there is Buckland which is near Royston. Try visiting Hertscc.gov.uk. Chris |
