Sarah Nevell(??) b circa 1826 Shoreditch Middlesex had two Daughters Hannah (c1848) and Mary (c1856) (So far Father not known). By the 1861 census they were living with Reuben Walker (c1835) Appears by then Reuben and Sarah had married as Daughters shown as Reuben's Step-Daughters and living with his Son William Rad. Walker. Before 1891 Census Sarah had died and Reuben is shown with Hannah WALKER as his Spouse/wife Is she stepdaughter Hannah Nevell as I can find no record of a marriage????? Questions: I guess no way of confirming marriage or otherwise as later children including my Grandma show no father on birth certificates. I can find no death certificate for Hannah Walker but was she registered as Nevell, Nevil or Walker??? Reuben died Islington 1916. Any help with this lovely conundrum welcome as I live in New Zealand so local records are not accessible to me/ Thank you, Roger |
