REUBEN WALKER was my great Grandfather. Born in Hertfordshire around 1834. In the census of 1891 and 1901 he is shown living with spouse HANNAH WALKER in London (Islington/Highbury). However although he would have been about 67 at the 1901 census I can find no record of his death. We cannot find any record either of a marriage to Hannah Walker and believe she may have been Hannah Nevell - Daughter of his first wife Sarah Nevell, who had two Daughters when they wed one of whom was called Hannah. He married Sarah in 1856 and we have these details. I am in New Zealand so close tracing is difficult. Both my parents were raised for most of their young lives in Barnados so family information was always vague. Many thanks for any help. Roger |

Have you confirmed his birth from any PR's, Is his age consistant throughout other census,1881,1871,1861, It was very common to knock years of an age ,especially if a partner was much younger, And any information of a certificate is only as true as the informant gives. |

Roger, Looking at the census records it does seem like he had children with his step daughter. You might want to order a birth certificate to prove this. Rose |
