I know ancestry has 1881 for free to look at but don't know what else you might find

Has anyone a subscription to this website? Is it worth the money? It has Census Crew Lists but only for 1861, 1871 and 1901, which I am interested in, although I also wanted to see 1881 which does not seem to be available. Anyone know anywhere else I can see these lists which are a transcription of naval and public personnel on board vessels, around the UK and abroad in 1861. Contains over 99,000 records (includes images of the original pages)
