I have someone giving his place of birth as Warminster c 1797. On IGI I've found two people with the same name (James Butcher) one in Potterne and the other in Bromham. Are either of these places near Warminster or should I keep looking? Thanks from an Essex Girl(?) Sue

Thanks Jim, It looks as though neither of these records are mine then as my James Butcher was living in Marylebone by 1841! It hadn't occurred to me to check the census for that area, I'll get the hang of this one day ....Thanks for taking the trouble, Sue

Hi Elizabeth Thanks for looking but I do already have his 'life' from the birth of children to his death abt 1861 - it's his birth and parentage that I'm after now! Thanks again Sue
