Hi Does anyone visit the Guildhall library or does anyone intend to visit sometime soon? For many years I have had a copy of my grt grt grandmothers diary. Her family the Macfarlanes were merchants in the West Indies. The family businesses went bust when one of the cousins who was supposed to handle everyones investments put them all in to his own company that went bankrupt. Anyway I have just discovered that some of the deeds and papers for this family are at the Guildhall library. Titled Macfarlane Family West Indies Merchants 1863-1892 deeds and papers Record Reference 15173-74 Update I could still use help with this, someone with a digital camera would be a godsend. apparently the text is quite dense so a proffessional researcher would cost me an arm and a leg. Pretty please anyone LOL I wondered if anyone did visit there if they would mind taking a peak at these documents for me(I cant get there from NZ)and jotting down pertinent names dates and juicy details if they can Regards Tania Currie
