I definitely need to check the 1901 Scottish Census but, with so many different sites I am unsure which one to use. I am happy to pay for the credits but would like to know if anyone could recommend the best Scottish Site to use and/or help me avoid the ones which are not so good. Thank you for your help Linda |

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong - but I believe Scotlands People is the only site for viewing the 1901 census online. Mary |

ScotlandsPeople. It has all the census returns and the bmd (remember Scottish civil registration dates are different to English). Parish records and lots more. You can download certs for a few credits and the certs are not only instant but more detailed than English ones, as well as a lot cheaper. Download the parish records etc in the same way and once a result has been viewed you can view it again as often as you like for free. |
