Met police records

I reckon the Police Federation are more likely to help you out than the separate constabularies - if you google you should be able to find some contact info. Laura

Hi I'm trying to trace a John Reid and all I know is that he is noted as the father of my grandmother in 1910 and his occupation was Dectective sergeant and by 1933 ne was inspector CID. Does anyone know how I would or even if it is possible to find information from police records? Help I'm really stuck here. Thanks Susan
