HI ALL MY DAD NEVER KNEW HIS DAD.HE WAS BORN 1921. HIS MUM AND MY DAD ARE NOW DEAD.IS THERE ANY WAY AT ALL ANY RECORDS OR REPORTS ANYWHERE I COULD FIND OUT THIS INFO,MY DAD WOULD NEVER TALK ABOUT IT.THE REST OF THE FAMILY KEPT ALL HUSS HUSS.WAS TOLD AT ONE STAGE HE HAD AN ITALIAN FATHER .WOULD THERE HAVE BEEN ANY LOCAL SERVICES THEN THAT MIGHT OF KNOWN. MY DAD WAS ENGLISH.LIVING IN SOMERSET. ANY HELP PLEASE , AS THERE IS A LARGE CHUNK MISSING FROM MY TREE. THANKS AVRIL |

YES ANN I DO HAVE BIRTH CERT I WAITED A FEW HOURS TO HAVE IT MADE UP ONLY TO TELL ME FATHER UNKNOWN IT WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING. |

Avril, do you have your parent's marriage certificate, That may give a father's name. I wish you luck. My husband only had his birth certificate and a memorial card for his mother@s death. From that I traced his family. Sheila |

Avril There is a faint chance that your graandmother took out a maintenance order against the father. This would have been done, probably, in the Magistrate's Court where she lived. The County Records may be able to help you, although I am not sure how you stand with regard to access to this information - but nothing ventured, nothing gained! OC |
