Where was James W Robinson in 1871????

James William was born in Stockton on Tees in 1856. He married a Margaret Wilson (of Darlington) in 1884. In 1851 he is listed as James W Robinson, a 5 year old. In 1881 he is listed as J W Robinson Robinson, a 25 year old. In 1891 he is listed as James Wm. Robinson, a 33 year old. But where was he in 1871? I can find no trace of him. He died in 1898. Any help most appreciated! |

I see from 1881 that his occ was Accountant's clerk.......perhaps he was articled somewhere in 1871. Not that I can see any trace of him............ Reg |

It's interesting to note that in 1851 his father John was a 19 year old prisoner in Wakefield jail! Perhaps James W was in prison in 1871. |
