I've traced my mother and fathers line back to 1770 and 1740 and the trails have gone cold. I'm not interested in padding out my tree with names that are distant relations but would like to trace my bloodline back as far as possible, so what next? Cheers, Neil |

Next is Parish Registers - pre 1837 bmd were not registered except on the local registers. You can try familysearch.org for some records, you can google for any online transcripts, you can hire the fiche from the Mormons (familysearch.org) to look at at your local family centre (addresses on the site). You can go to the records office local to the events and look at the fiche/films of the registers there. I take it you have checked A2A or National Archives online for any info like military/naval records, wills etc? |
