If you google 'chesterfield+library' (on uk results) it will give you the link to the council website, and the library homepage. The e-mail address, phone number and postal address are included on the page. BTW Park Road is one of the main roads across Chesterfield and close to the town centre.

Try getting in touch with the local library and email them to ask if they would look up the electrol roll for that year. Since you know the address it shouldnt be much hassle for them Hope that helps Mhairi

You would need to contact the reference library for the area and ask them to search the electoral rolls for the address at the time. If you wanted they could always check for a few years either side of the year. They may make a small charge for the service, but i do mean a small charge.

My father died in December 1960 while visiting Derbyshire after living in the States. The address given on his death certificate is 1 Park Road,Chesterfield,Derbyshire. How can I find out who lived there at that time ??????? Or now ? I am in the U.S. Thanks for any help or advice. Margaret x
