David I've just googled and found the following: Cornwall Online Census Project, transcript of Piece HO107/144(3) ... ,,Elizabeth Rapjohn,,20,Servant,DEV,should be Devon ,,Anne Berryman,,20,Servant,In county, ,,Jane Benney,,20,Servant,In county, ,,John Rigg,20,,Servant ... freepages.genealogy.rootsweb*com/~kayhin/40144b.html - 86k - Cached - Similar pages Change the * I don't know which census this refers to as I haven't looked further but it would seem worth a check with rootsweb, especially as Elizabeth is often shortened to Betty. Alternatively, there are lots of google entries for Lake Rapjohn in Washington, USA. If the above is no go maybe Betty came from the lakes area. Good Luck, Jo.

well my latest hard to find name comes from topsham devon A Betty rapjohns ,found her marraige to a william willon/wilson 1790. but no birth ? is this name english or does she come from overseas?
