I seem to have lost ggg/grandfather in 1901. His name is Samuel Williams b1834 Penmachno, Wales. He's listed as living with wife Mary and two youngest children Lydia and Lloyd in 1891 census. In 1901 census only Mary and Lloyd are listed. Mary is still listed as married. If Samuel had died, Mary would have been listed as widowed. So where is Samuel? I can't find any record of death for him between 1891/1901. This is driving me crazy! |

No. I don't think it's him. Age definately says 69. 10 years too old. I'm really starting to wonder if they just buried him in the back yard. |

I'm seeing another problem here as well. Samuels parents John Williams b1806 and Catherine b1806 disapear after 1841 census. Very strange indeed! |

I have a similar problem with my great grandfather Samuel. He is listed as Head, has several children with him but no wife is present ....... yet the image clearly says that he is married. I cannot find Hannah anywhere. Maybe the alien ship arrived again? |

Look at the top part of the number 6. It's straight like a 5. The lower part of the 5 looks like it was filled in with a splob. Rose |

If you zoom in on text at 100% you'll see that it is definately 69. Also look at other 6's on document to make a comparison. |

Could someone look at this document? I'm certain that it states age as 69 but if it's 59 then it could well be my Samuel. |

Thanks Margaret. I thought as much.....but now I'm back to square one again. He seems to have disappeared without trace. |
