thanks Rose, i originally thought this was a different family, i have checked for the surname Smith for birth but again came up with nothing for his full name, lots for Francis or George or Edward but nothing with even two of them, i will check the 1901 census for Mary Smith. thanks for your help. phil

Philip, In an earlier thread you said George was a Market Gardener. Name: George Malin Age: 26 Estimated birth year: abt 1865 Relation: Lodger Gender: Male Where born: Badsey, Worcestershire, England Civil parish: Badsey Ecclesiastical parish: St James Badsey Town: Badsey County/Island: Worcestershire Country: England Registration district: Evesham Sub-registration district: Broadway ED, institution, or vessel: 6 Neighbors: View others on page Household Members: Name Age John Hauter 21 Eliza Knight 65 John Knight 70 George Malin 26 Arthur E Rogers 16 Elizabeth Rogers 37 Like I said earlier, I think you need to look for a birth under the surname Smith. Stratford and Evesham districts are right next to each other. Rose

hi, i can only find entries for George Edward Malin, nothing for Francis or Francis George Edward Malin, the George ones relate to the mother being named Dinah. so the short answer is no, no entries found. phil

Do you have Francis in 1891 or 1901?

Francis George Edward Malin I am looking to get his birth certificate, can i first say it is not 6C 329 from 1885. Francis celebrated his birthday on 28th April each year, (FACT) he said he was born 1884, his mothers name was Mary Smith, his fathers name was George Malin, we believe Mary died on 5/11/1927, George died prior to 30/7/1928.He had a step father, surname Heeks who lived at Ashchurch, Gloucestershire.Francis was married twice, on the first certificate 19/8/1905 (at Martley) he married Alice Matilda Stride, no fathers name was entered,(this may mean he had died prior to this). This certificate was in the name George Edward Malin. The second certificate 30/7/1928 (at Queenhill Worcestershire) to Nellie Maria Lott his father was in as George Malin (deceased), this was in the name of Francis George Edward Malin. All the certificates mentioned above, except 6C 329, came from his estate. we believe he was born in Worcestershire although some of the current Worcestershire areas used to be classed as Gloucestershire. Why can't i find his birth certificate.
