Carole, Have you looked through the COMPLETE images on Ancestry? People often confuse this with the partial images on FreeBMD. Rose |

Carole iIf you tell us what you have checked so far it might help us to tell you the best places to look. You could just trawl the entire death index from the year of marriage to when they turned 100 years of age but there are ways to try and narrow it down a bit. |

Likely birth refs from freebmd for children -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Births Sep 1911 (>99%) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BEEDLE Arthur mmn Barnett Dorking 2a 364 ====================================== Nothing in surname of Denman with mmn Barnett recorded but the index is not complete. It is possibe that there are later births in either surname for the couples, finding those may help to narrow the search for the deaths. It means trawling the full images on Ancestry and noting possible matches, timeconsuming but free to do. |

The major drawback is that you don't know when they died. They may have died quite young or lived to be over 100 years old so you have to check over a long timespan. Don't forget that a woman may remarry and will then be recorded under her remarried surname. The search isn't difficult just time consuming but trawling is the way to find the ref and then order the cert. Glen |

Which images have you looked at? Let us know which years you have covered.........no point in duplicating effort........ If either or both of them had children, when was the youngest born.......to each of them? Reg |

Register with Ancestry - free- and you can search for the death records. You will only learn the exact date and place of death by purchasing the cert(s). Reg |
