Yes, all the children I mentioned are in the 1901 census. But I need to find out what happened to them after that. I have also checked on GR but their names don't come up. Lyn. |

Have you tried searching for all these names in the trees on here? Have you found all of them in the 1901? As the latest info we have is 1901 the only way to find if they married would be to check the bmd index - its free to use on ancestry but will involve a long hard trawl. Otherwise spend some money on familyrelatives.org which can be searched by name, area and time span in the 1866-1901 period for births, marriages and deaths. This will only produce those events up to 1920 however. |

I hope you dont mind, but I dont think people will be able to read it all jumbled up in the first box. If you have a big posting, always best to put 'see below' in the first box and then add a reply with the bulk of the text. I am trying to find out what happened to Frank Davis Young, born 1893 and his siblings Wilfrid born 1895 and Katharine Elizabeth b 1897 all in Worcester. They were the children of George Leman Young, born 1868 in Nottingham and Jessie Davis, born 1877 Martley, Worcestershire who was my grandmother. In the 1901 census, Frank and Wilfrid were living with George Young's widowed father Henry in Worcester and Katharine Elizabeth were living with Jessie's widowed mother Ann Davis. I don't know if George died as I can't find a death record. Jessie had moved to Leicester by then and met my grandfather James Alexander Nicholson, born 1764 in Eccles. He also had a son, Dick Nicholson, born Loughborough, last heard of in the 1901 census living with James and his widowed mother Elizabeth in Leicester. James and Jessie later moved to Preston. I understand that Dick was then brought up by James' sisters, Elizabeth Grace Nicholson and Mary Graham Nicholson who both lived in Leicester. Jessie went on to have four more children of whom one was my mother, Nora. I don't think Nora ever knew about her mother's other children, though she knew about Dick (who seems to have been renamed Laurie). I only discovered about them a few weeks ago when researching my family tree. I would really appreciate any news of what happened to all of them and if they married and had children of their own who would be quite closely related to me. However, I don't know how I can find out. Can anyone out there help? Lyn |
