I am trying to trace one line of my tree & 'rumour' in the family has my grandfather as one of 27 chn. I can only trace 9 so far but as Gt G/father married 4 times anything is possible. The women he married my have had chn & my G/pa may have classed them as siblings. My main question is -- if I bought a death certificate for gt/g/pa would it list his children? What else would be listed? Any help appreciated. Chris |

The Scottish ones have the age of person who died ,along with parents and wifes names, occupation and place/date of death. Does not mention children unless one of them registered the death. Marion |

Hi CHris No, a death cert won't list his children. It will give you the name and address of the person that registered the death who could be one of the children you don't know about. On the otherhand it could be a doctor ar a neighbour. Sam x |
