can anyone help me, i am not sure what relationship some people are to me on my tree, for instance my mothers cousin, what would her relationship be to me, would it be 2nd cousin or something, also my mothers cousin's daughter and grandaughter, what would they be to me? and lastly my own cousins children? many thanks! x |

There is a relationship calculator on this page. You need to work out your common ancestor first:- http://www.dramsden(.)co.uk/drhome/relationship.asp (remove brackets from above). Your mother's cousin is your cousin once removed. Your mother's cousin's daughter would be your 2nd cousin. Your mother's cousin's grandaughter would be your second cousin once removed. Your own cousin's children are your cousins once removed. Kath. x |
