He should be on the Commonweath War Graves site and also on the Canadian version which is Virtual War Memorial. Margaret

Hello Denni - what do you know already about this event ? Do you know the RCAF squadron he was serving in - there are lots of links to squadrons here : www.worldwar2exraf.co.uk similarly, www.rcaf.com has a set of histories As you know the date, W R Chorley's 'Bomber Command losses of WW2' or N L Frank's 'Fighter Command losses' may be a good starter. How about the aircraft type ? Again, since I was looking into Bomber command, www.bomber-command.info was invaluable, ditto raf.mod/uk/bombercommand. Gruesomely, do you know for definite that there were remains to be buried ? The CWGC entry will show a cemetery: that may not be any burial, but simply - and sadly - a memorial. Hope some of this is a help to you Charlie

I know someone will know the answer to this. How do I find the last resting place of a member of the RCAF whose plane went down over London in WW2? We have his Canadian death cert (cause of death - accident!) but no known whereabouts of a grave - if any. Info on what to do next greatly appreciated. thanks Denni
