Thought it must be - LOL, not many buses around then - and certainly not a station for them! The good thing is that the archives should have the licence details?

Heather, Very sorry for the delay, I got called away unexpectedly. Beer certainly does make more sense - transcribed as bus and beer never occured to me!! It's on 1881 Census, West Lynn, RG11/2001 page 18, schedule 104 for Maria Dawson. She has kept Inns with her husband in previous census. Jo

Does anyone have any idea what a Licenced Bus House could be? My guesss is an Inn beside the bus station but if anyone knows better I would love to hear. Jo This is 1881 by the way.
