OH has an ancestor Vicesima ..... means 21. Family lore has it that this family had 20 children, all survived except that # 20 died soon after birth. So, they had another child to bring the number back to 20. Vicesima was the baby of the family, born about 2 years after her youngest sibling. Her name does fit with the family lore, except ..... ...... no-one can find any record of No 20!

Didn't the Beckhams name a son after the place of his conception? It does make you wonder how this poor soul was burdened with this name. I have just checked and found him on the 1871 census in Derbyshire with his parents and siblings. All the other family members were born in Derbyshire, perhaps mum gave birth on the slow train home.
