Member Since: June 2003 Posts: 12 Send Message	A major travelling three day family history exhibition with over one billion names available for research is touring the UK from January 2007. Called Family Search on the Road, the free three day exhibition features displays, the use of 8 computer terminals and state of the art software linked via satellite to the world’s largest genealogical database. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has long been recognised as the world’s foremost authority on family history research with over 70 family history libraries in the UK including one in Aberdeen. Their family history website www.familysearch.org attracts over 10 million hits every day and has received over 15 billion hit since it was launched in 1999, making it the most popular genealogical website in the world. The exhibition will be open from 2pm to 9pm on Thursday, 10am to 9pm on Friday and from 9am to 4pm on Saturday. Visitors to the exhibition who wish to research their ancestors can print off a family research worksheet beforehand on www.lds.org.uk under the Family Search Research specialists will provide assistance and a free family photograph is on offer. Check the website for exhibition locations.
