The marriage certificate of James and Florence would show him as a widower or divorced. If divorced, his previous wife's name and maiden name should be shown. Gwyn

Hi, i wondered if anyone could help me find out the following information: James Allan Wood (born 25/12/1920) married May ? ......... James re-married the oct - dec quarter of 1949 to a Florence Eileen Linton. All the areas, are cottingham, beverley, or hull.....but James himself maybe Scottish............im trying to find out details of his first marriage....what was May's maiden name. I suspect i'll have to buy a certificate but id prefer not to!
