I've tried everything to find her but have been unable to do so. Can't find a marriage cert either and this has been bugging me now for about 3 months now and I can't make any progress on her side of the tree. Bit of a mystery woman as she never disclosed where she lived, who she was actually married to (if married at all) and I have only found a 'maiden name' from the death certificate of her husband via my father's birth certificate. |

If the birth quoted above is the correct one and you wanted the cert you could always apply to Lincoln registration services. I use them quite often, they hold the bmd register for the whole county and will supply a scanned copy of the original register. Turnround is usually 3-5 days from order and they will check a reference point for no extra charge. If they cannot find an entry then you don't pay for the search. You can apply by phone or post, phone applications must be paid for by credit card, postal applications payable by card or cheque. For further information on how to obtain your Copy Certificates contact the following address:- Certificate Applications, Lincolnshire Registration Service, PO Box 760, Lincoln LN2 5WG or email us at CopyCertificates at lincolnshire(.)gov.uk (replace at with the symbol and remove brackets around the dot) Please note that the e-mail facility is for general enquiries only. We will be unable to perform individual searches. You will need to make an application and pay the fee, either by downloading one of the forms below or by ringing us on 01522 782244 Glen |

Could the year be wrong? Is the information from a death index? Maybe the information wasn't correct. Gwyn |

Just checked that page for Dec Qtr 1910 on Ancestry and there are no Sylvia May's listed that I can see. To get to the page to double check yourself, choose the surname Maxwell, then when that page opens up, just use the forward arrows above to go to next page till you find surname MAY. Regards Athena |

Hi Sue I have found some of mine in 1910 qtr dec. Sometimes when names were added to the bottom of the indexes some names and qtrs don't come up, you need to try a name that is close alphabetically to the name you are searching for and the qtr you are looking for and they normally come up. Hope this makes sense Jackie |

I know that the 1910 Q4 records are not on ancestry but can anyone enlighten me on where I can access them - if at all. Sue |
