Wigan library most likely. Most large muncipal libraries keep copies of their old electoral registers to hand in their reference or local studies unit. Your biggest problem is likely to be getting permission to photocopy any of them, as some library assistants don't have much of a clue about the Data Protection Act. Different local authorities have different ideas on this, so if you are some distance away from Wigan I would suggest writing or emailing to see what they have and what their copying rules are. |
