looking for anscombe

Help needed for joseph anscombe born 1818 in or around,Cuckfield balcombe area of Sussex We have marriage cert said fathers name is john how do we find the right one as there are a large number of john anscombes, any any ideas please as its giving us headaches

Joseph Wife was Mary Apps .We have all the info on Mary & Joseph their children and where they died, we want his Father John and mother unknown and brothers and sisters.so i can get futher from my great grand father .

Have you looked for a baptism for Joseph Anscombe? This will tell you his mothers christian name which may help you find a marriage for his parents. Sam x

Ah, sorry. I thought you wanted Joseph . Don't think I have woken up yet! It makes it difficult if you don't know Josephs mothers name either. Do you have the Johns occupation?

Hi Sam , Cannot find one ,dont know where else to look.On all cenues he has diffront ages and on his marriage certificate he was 30 in 1853 and on his grave stone his 1819 . This has left me very confused. Please someone help .

John's was farm labour and was alive at the time of his sons marriage.
