National Burial Index Question

Is it possible to check the index for burials of the same surname in the area of a known burial? I am searching for the death and burial of CHARLES HENRY ATTWOOD born 1859 in Royden Hamlet Essex. I have him in Great Parndon Essex on the 1901 census. In October 1901 his wife MARY ANN ATTWOOD died and is buried in Great Pandon Essex. Charles moved around Essex and Middlesex following work. He appears to have worked with horses. On his son's wedding certificate in 1920, it says he was deceased. I have checked the full GRO index from 1901-1939 and cannot find him. I would appreciate any help with this problem. I am beginning to run out of ideas. Regards Jackie

Hi Jackie There's not much 20th century stuff on the NBI unfortunately. The NBI is online at www.familyhistoryonline.net . The only Attwood burials in Essex post-1900 that are listed on there are these ones: 1. Alfred ATTWOOD found in National Burial Index (Essex SFH) 1 entry in Essex during 1928 details £0.06 2. Daisy Louisa Frances ATTWOOD found in National Burial Index (East of London FHS) 1 entry in Essex during 1929 details £0.06 3. Samuel Richard ATTWOOD found in National Burial Index (Essex SFH) 1 entry in Essex during 1939 details £0.06 4. Mary Ann ATWOOD found in National Burial Index (Essex SFH) 1 entry in Essex during 1901 details £0.06 and these monumental inscriptions: 1. George ATTWOOD found in Essex Memorial Inscriptions 1 entry in Essex during 1950 details £0.06 2. Minnie J ATTWOOD found in Essex Memorial Inscriptions 1 entry in Essex during 1937 details £0.06 3. Myrnie ATTWOOD found in Essex Memorial Inscriptions 1 entry in Essex during 1945 details £0.06 4. Stanley Charles ATTWOOD found in Essex Memorial Inscriptions 1 entry in Essex during 1945 details £0.06 Richard
