EBAY RAF MEDAL AND DOCUMENT William Frank Samways medal and document grouping to Acting Corporal 309248 William Frank Samways who was born on 6th September 1900 in Brympton Somerset. He enlisted into the fledgling Royal Air Force as a carpenter rigger on 24th October 1918 and continued to serve until 24th March 1922. He then served in the RAF reserve until 13th July 1932. On the outbreak of world war 2 he was once more serving with the colours until he was medically discharged on 22nd September 1941. Corporal Samways served in numerous Squadrons and units including RAF Halton, Cranwell, Uxbridge, 58 TDS, 117 SQD, 100 SQD, 2 SQD, 81 SQD 1 DEPOT NE and finishing his service with C SQD 9 FTS Hullarington Wiltshire.
