Can anyone out there tell me if the christian name Austin is a shortened version of Augustine? I have come across a number of Irish Catholics who should be all named after Saints and not car manufacturers. Chris O'H

hi Austin is a saint in the catholic church, he was a holy monk. knew that catholic education would come in handy one day! lorraine
