When you add a new spouse (using the Spouse icon under the name) the screen will clear except for the person you are adding a spouse to. You can also add children born to the new spouse at this stage if you want to. Your other spouse and children will still be there, but you will have to click on the 'spouse' icon again and it will bring up a box with both spouse's names and you have to click on whichever one you want to view. You make one of them the one you want the programme to open up with as a general rule. Kath. x

You're not losing your info. It is opening like a new window so that you can add children to the new marriage. On the spouses button you will see (2) and you can choose which spouse and family you wish to inspect by clicking on that. Cheers, Horatia

Still cannot add new husbands or wives ,without losing the info i aready have .

Click on the Spouse Icon under the person you wish to give a new spouse to and then use 'Create A New Spouse' option. Cheers, Horatia

how do i add names to the family tree maker how do i start using it i cant get anything to work on it do i have to register it if so iv done that but it still wont let me start adding names on to it can someone tell me how to start using it plz sarah

Can anyone help by telling me how to add new marriages after divorces to my family tree program . As cannot work it out .
