Has anyone else had the following message when changing pages on here:- 'Your security settings do not allow websites to use Active X controls installed on this computer' Seems to be linked to yet another advert, cannot tell which one as will not load it due to it using Active X. What are GR playing at now? Have had it 3 or 4 times in last few minutes.

Ditto, Keith. Unfortunately, some members will have lower security settings and allow all ActiveX controls which can be a dangerous thing to do because there is the potential for 'nasties' to auto-download. Some ActiveX controls and downloads are perfectly safe though such as browser plug-ins like Acrobat Reader.

Hi Errol, I appreciate the security implications of Active X, but what are GR doing now allowing them to be used on site? Just had it again argggh.

Yes Keith - I agree that it would appear that we are being forced to install or allow something we don't necessarily want! I'm just having a look at the source code to see if anything jumps out at me but it could be anything really.

Keith, from what I can see, I think it may be generated by a flash animated advert at the top of the page.
