I too think Scotland's People is great - it would cost me £135 to fly to Edinburgh, plus an overnight stay (at least) plus the entry into the Records Office.... In the five days after I joined SP on new year's eve, I have identified: My two grandparents 4 great grandparents 8 ggps 14 ggps 6 ggggps and 4 ggggps! This branch has been a closed book to me for 35 years so you can imagine my delight. OC

I think scotlands people is great Doreen. There is no where online or offline where you can view birth and death certificates for england and wales, let alone get a copy of about a one for a pound, or even two pound if it takes you longer to find them.

Sorry if it's already been mentioned - but I just noticed that any credits you buy now have an expiry of 90 days as opposed to the previous 7. **ScotlandsPeople is pleased to announce that the session duration has been extended, through the Statutory Instrument, from 7 (seven) days to 90 (ninety) days, with immediate effect. Customers with accounts whose session has expired within the last 90 days will automatically be reactivated and extended to 90 days from the most recent purchase date.**
