There is an advert on here for some people that sounds like an alarm clock or similar so it could well be that then |

It is coming thro the speakers, No modem, I am on broadband. I hadn't thought of an advert. I am not sure if I was on this site each time it happened, certainly was the last couple of times. There is no pop up message with it as far as I have noticed. |

For the last 3 days or so, my PC has been making noises like a telephone ringing. It rings about six times, then a few seconds later a shorter single ring. Anyone any idea what this is? Thanks David |

is it coming through external speakers or internally and do you have a dial up modem? |
