Help finding grandfather's family on 1901 census

Thanks K, I'll follow this up. I said that I thought Henry was still alive at the time of Edward's marriage because the other father was described as deceased on the certificate but Henry wasn't. However, we all know that anything's a possibility so I won't discount your suggestion. I'll let you know how I get on. |

I posted a plea for help yesterday about a different branch of the family and had great help and success so am trying again with another problem. I have my grandparents marriage certificate from 1913 where grandfather is Edward Hornby. Within the family we think that he was called Bert but nobody can remember why this might have been. His father was Henry Hornby and appears to have been alive at the time of the marriage. Edward's age is given as 20 and the marriage took place in Liverpool. I have looked for Edward and his family on the 1901 census but cannot find them. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated (again!). |
