Hi Could anybody tell me in very easy steps, how to make my pictures smaller to go on my tree they are either too big or too heavy Thanks Ann |

There is a program you can download called Irfanview which i use to resize photo's to make them smaller. It is on this website as well as others. Sometimes a photo programme already on your computer has the tools to resize a photo so check them out first. www.download*com Mhairi |

Don't forget though that if you export your tree as a gedcom that the photographs won't be exported with the file. The same is true whether you create a gedcom from GR or any other site as well as the commercially available family tree programmes. If you use a family tree programme you will have the images saved in the file created when you close the programme( so that they will remain in your programme and can be added to printed trees etc) but via the GEDCOM option you will find they go missing.
