I think you need to order one of the birth certs. It's not uncommon for a father to be made up for a marriage certificate. Rose

Looks like it was deleted which is a shame because all this work has been duplicated. Linda, did you see my comment about Charlotte being a single mother beacause no father is listed on Charles' birth record? CHARLES PARSONS Birth: 16 MAR 1856 Saint Mary Newington Workhouse, Southwark, London, England Mother: CHARLOTTE PARSONS Rose

GlitterBaby Report 13 Jan 2007 23:34

There is a John Parsons living in Bethnal Green in 1851 but as a lodger and no one else with the same surname in household. Right area for the birth of Joseph. Also another one in Bethnal Green but has a wife called Rebecca and no children listed Maureen

Did you find them in 1841?

GlitterBaby

GlitterBaby Report 13 Jan 2007 22:56

Linda, Thank you for pm. The information needed is from the last census that you have found your family on. So if 1861 then those details please. Please give details such as the name of the father, mother and children but give approx years of birth and location and where they were living. In fact anything that might help us to trace further back for you. Maureen

Has anybody any ideas where I can look for my family the Parsons. I have managed to trace them quite easily back to 1861 Census then they completely vanish even though they were a family of five D.O.B. ranging from c1825 to 1860. Any suggestions please. Linda
