Emigrating from Ireland to Wales

Could anyone let me know where would be the best place to look to find a record of a family emigrating from Ireland to Wales at some point between 1906 and maybe 1910?

Unfortunately there is unlikely to be any shipping records. What did you want to find out about them? If you type Irish in the search box at the top of this page it will bring up a lot of threads to help Irish research (not the easiest thing in the world Im afraid!)

No such thing as emigration from Ireland to Wales, England or Scotland as Ireland was part of the UK until partition in 1922 and even they were still part of the Commonwealth until 1949. Like going from London to Plymouth so no records for that. Janet

I guess I meant immigrate rather than emigrate. The fact they were part of the same country is what isn't helping me, as there are more records for people coming into, and out of Britain to other countries. I knew my great-nan very well, she lived to be in her 90s, but with her strong Welsh accent and tales of the mines, I never even knew she was born in Ireland until I tried to research her family. She fell out with them when she moved to London and rarely talked of them. I would be happy finding out the minimum, ie what part of Ireland she came from, and her parent's names.

Might have to wait till the 1911 census to find out where. Do you know when?
