If you go to this web page:- http://www.stephen-stratford(.)co.uk/korean_war.htm remove brackets, there is picture of a Canadian Korean War Medal. It says that the British medal is the same without the word 'Canada' on it. Is yours the same? Kath. x

Yes it was the medal for servicemen who served in the Korean war. If you still have the ribbon it should be yellow and blue stripes. A good site for information about the Korean war is http://britains-smallwars.com/main/index1.html Jackie

Hi all, I have a medal of my husbands father and I'm having trouble identifying it. On the front it has a man kneeling with serpants around him. At the bottom it say KOREA. On the back it says ELIZABETH11 DEI GRA:BRITT:OMN:REGINA F:D:+. Can anyone help me identify it and tell me what it was issued for and when it was issued. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks. Jelly

I can only imagine that he served with British Forces in the Korean War......... If you google Korean War, you'll get the dates of the conflict. Reg
