Hi all, John Henry Speakman was born in 1881 Farnworth. He married (or should I say I think he did) Mary Ann Whalley who was born 1878 Farnworth. Their first child was born in 1906 in Barnsley. Last child 1912 in Barnsley. In 1901 John was living with his mother and Stepfather in Farnworth. If anyone can help I would be really grateful. Thanks. Gail

Linda, Mary died in 1937 aged 60 so that makes her born in 1877/8. If i have done my sums right that is. Gail

One of my relatives was on the 1901 census, with wife and child.I searched for their marriage and couldn't find it and then by chance found it in1905! I know of no reason why they delayed getting married. It just goes to show that it does happen. Fran
