have recently got a photo of an ancestor in sailors uniform from H M S Tamarisk. Would like to establish who he was. Ship was launched 1916 and sold 1922. Which site would give me a crew list of this ship please?

yes I have tried googling. Did get loads of sites but none with the crew list. Loads of info about the ship itself.

As this was a navy ship and people would be drafted on and off you won't get a crew list on any site. HMS Ettrick was renamed HMS Tamarisk in 1941 while she was being built. She was then given to the Greek Navy in 1943. What sort of dates would your photos be? Keith

I have no idea when the photo was taken. It was done in a studio in Liverpool. There is the sailor but he is also pictured with a guy in a kilted uniform. So we suspect they would be related in some way otherwise why would they have had their photos done together like that.
