have waited patiently for certificate to arrive and it made no difference !!! have searched 1841 census for every possibility and still cant find her in 1841 census. marriage between Benjamin Gray and Elizabeth Courtler 8th august 1846 in St Oswalds parish Durham Her father was Goerge courtler a Pitman and at time of marriage they lived at Stonebridge????? Could someone take a look and see if anything shows up. Am doing my own head in now never mind everyone else in the house!!! Alison certificate just says full age |

Alison I think her name may have been mistranscribed on her marriage certificate, Courtler is a very rare name . There is only 1 entry showing on the LDS site & freebmd only have 2 entries for the name. Have you got any of the childrens birth certificates? Georgina. |

havent ordered childrens certificates yet think thats probably next port of call and then work backwards waited so patiently ahhhhhhhh never mind .Thankyou have no doubt will be back for more help ...probably quite soon alison |

no have tried that and the handwriting on the certificate is sooooo hard to read have tried lowther courtier as well as just elizabeth father george and that didnt work either |
