Can anyone help me please. I have been asked for help. An aquantance is using Ancestry to do her tree and is not sure where to go next!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is asking what else you see if you buy credits, and is Ancestry the best site for seeking birth certificate & marriage certificate please thanks Val:~) |

Ancestry is the best free source of bmd info.......there are additional records on findmypast........notably overseas registrations.......but it is pay-to-view. Reg |

Ancestry is the best possible purchase at the moment. It costs about £70 a year, and you can search to your heart's content, 24/7. Regards Jennifer |

So would you sugggest she carries on with Ancestry? and will she be able to get hold of certificates on there too? She is only looking in the UK as far as I know!! Thanks for both your help lol Val:~) |

Val, The bmd index is on Ancestry and with the reference numbers you can purchase certificates from the GRO and they cost £7 each. |

Hello again Heather sorry to be a pain but are the reference numbers you refer to the letters and page number by the persons name? Also is the GRO also to be found on Ancestry or does she have to look somewhere else for that???? Many thanks Val :~) |
