For some reason I still can't seem to get onto Ancestry via Mozilla Firefox which is what I normally use. I had no problems at all before christmas (i think i deleted cookies, don't know if that would affect it?) but am getting very frustrated now as no matter how I try and get on there, it won't let me! The screen is blank and in the bottom left corner it says 'done' but I'm not on the site! Argh! Help?! Laura |

I use Firefox all the time. Just logged in to http://ancestry*co.uk/ with no problems. Can you recall having changed anything in your settings or have you downloaded any updates? |

Laura,if you know your passwords have you tried clearing all your private data in FF ? Tools options / privacy / private data then 'settings' check ALL boxes then go back and 'clear now'. Restart Firefox This is for FF2 Bob |

I'll try that Bob, thanks I've used FF for about a year now and no problems, I must have done something in the last 2 weeks to change things but I can't think what! groan. Will try that and see if it helps Thanks Laura update - don't have a clue what my passwords would be and don't seem to be able to get into that info - where would it be? in control panel or somewhere else? Thanks again |

Just downloaded and installed FF2, thinking to start from scratch with an updated version would solve problem but no joy. Went into the tools/options bit but couldn't see anything that would help situation. Am thoroughly confused now and as i'm a paying subscriber to Ancestry it's bugging me as I have searches I want to do! lol Laura UPDATE Just cleared all my private data and IT WORKED! Thank you so much! Yay! Now i just have to try and re-remember all my passwords and logins that Mozilla normally remember for me! lol |

FF will start remembering them again Laura and all sites that I know will post you a reminder. Installing FF2 would only use your old 'profile' and settings but your are better of using the latest version. Bob |

Just remembered Laura. If you have updated from 1.5 you will find the mail icon has been removed (dunno why!!) you need this extension to put it back. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3591/ Bob |

3 times in the last 24 hours I've had to re-clear all my personal data to be able to get onto ancestry! It#s the only site that I'm having problems with and clearing the data works every time but it is proving to be a royal pain in the ass! Laura |
