I have a relation which has attached to the wrong parents and it wont let me delete or move it because of multiple connections. How do you delete these entries, any ideas please????? |

It is nothing to do with the new tree format, this has always been the case. You have to delete all connections first from the bottom upwards so that there is only one link left. Then you can remove the person. Many of us don't bother updating GR on-line. Have you cinsidered using a tree progam on your pc an uploading a gedcom from time to time? |

Brian, Just added my thread on the same subject, see if it helps. I did it through the old tree programme. Cheers Margaret. |

Hi Peter It would take for ever to delete to the one entry. Shame GR did not make it more user friendly. I have never tried to put everything on a tree maker and upload, that too would mean starting again on a new tree. Thanks for the reply Brian |

Brian, No you don't need to re-enter everything. Once you have your chosen program on your PC simply download your file from GR. The email you a gedcom type file which you can load into you tree program at home. |
