I have the 'hide living rellies' box checked in my account, but does that still mean that these names are still sent as hot matches? In the last week I have had mails about people with the exact names of my 10 month old granddaugter, my son and now my husband, is this right?

Yes !Carol, You do get hot matches with living rellies. It is better not to put any living relatives on your tree. Then you have no worries. One needs permission from the living to add their names.... Marie

I'm not certain, but I think people can still find the names if they do a search of the site, so I suppose they may still be sent with 'Hot Matches'. It's only when you give someone access to your tree that the living person's details are withheld. You could always change the names of living people to 'Living Male' or 'Living Female', then I don't suppose anyone would contact you about them. Kath. x

hiya it is best to put living people in your tree, Purely as 'living' and YOB, If someone has Your Grandaughter in their tree, you should PM them and ask them to remove it, if they do not remove it, then Mail GR and they WILL remove it, Hope this helps Julie
